What are the requirements and Permission to film in Bwera General Hospital?

Those intending to come to Uganda to film in Bwera General Hospital must seek permission from the Ministry of Health and Kasese Town Council Authority. This process is a lengthy one and one must allow at least 6 to 8 months in advance securing permission to be allowed to film in the hospital. The reason we insist on many months is that the process involves the government with its bureaucracies. We need time to press a formal and written request which we have to be made aware of different offices and authorities within the ministry of health. All this requires enough time, connections, and patience. The nature of your shoot or proposed documentary will determine whether permission will be granted or not. Ministry of health looks at whether your filming project will not in any way affect patients and works in a given hospital. The ministry of health in Uganda takes the privacy of its patients and workers highly. Send us a brief of your documentary project and we will start processing your filming permission with the ministry of health.Bwera General Hospital, Kasese District
