What are the requirements and Permission to film in Iran- Uganda Hospital?
Those intending to come to Uganda to film in Iran- Uganda Hospital must seek permission from the Naguru Division Town Council and Kampala City Council Authority. This process is a lengthy one and one must allow at least 6 to 8 months in advance securing permission to be allowed to film in the hospital. The reason we insist on many months is that the process involves government with its bureaucracies. We need time to press a formal and written request which we have to be made aware of different offices and authorities within the ministry of health. All this requires enough time, connections and patience. The nature of your shoot or proposed documentary will determine whether permission will be granted or not. Ministry of health looks at whether your filming project will not in any way affect patients and works in a given hospital. The ministry of health in Uganda takes the privacy of its patients and workers highly. Send us a brief of your documentary project and we will start processing your filming permission with the ministry of health.
Press or Media Accreditation in Uganda
The most important step to film in Uganda is to acquire your press accreditation or media card issued by the Uganda Media Council. No one is allowed to film or shoot in Uganda without a media pass. Film Crew fixers assist in process media cards in 2-3 working days as long as we have the required paperwork from you. The cost of each media card varies depending on the duration of your shoot. A media card for days not more than 30 costs $175 which is paid to the Uganda Media Council. Please contact us for more information about the processing and cost of your media pass.
Visa and Work permits
To enter Uganda for any purpose, one must hold a valid passport and visa issued by the government of Uganda. A fee of not less than $50 dollars will be paid at customs in cash. For those interested in staying longer because of work-related issues, a work permit will be needed. Contact us for all these and more and we will be glad to advise.
Kit customs clearing at Boarder points or Airport

Please send us a list of your film equipment showing type, serial number, and value of each and we will send it to our clearing agent for evaluation to establish the cost of clearing.
